⚙️ Core Features Explained
Product Watchlist
Add products by name (keyword search) or by pasting a direct product URL. TCM handles both approaches automatically.
Custom Target Sites
Each user configures their own list of competitor websites. Add or remove sites anytime from the Settings panel.
Smart Scanning Engine
TCM uses a tiered approach: fast HTTP fetching for static pages, JSON API calls for WooCommerce / Magento / Shopify stores, and deeper parsing as a fallback.
Auto-Scan Scheduler
Set a scan interval (e.g. every 6 hours) and TCM automatically re-scans all your products across all target sites on schedule.
Real-Time Alerts
Instant in-dashboard notifications for every price drop, price rise, or product removal detected across your monitored sites.
Price History
Every price change is stored with a timestamp. Expand any product card to see the full historical price trend per competitor site.
TVA / Tax Support
Mark any target site as TVA-inclusive. TCM will automatically calculate the 11% tax and show both base and inclusive prices.
Multi-User & Secure
Full multi-user support with admin control panel. Each account is isolated — your data is never visible to other users.
📡 How Scanning Works
When you click Scan on a product, TCM performs the following steps for each of your target websites:
- Builds a search URL tailored to the website's search engine (WooCommerce, Magento, custom, etc.)
- Fetches the page using a fast, lightweight HTTP request — no browser required for most sites
- Attempts direct JSON API calls to WooCommerce, Magento, and Shopify endpoints for instant price data
- Parses the HTML to extract product title and price using multiple strategies (meta tags, JSON-LD, structured data, DOM selectors)
- Filters results by keyword relevance to ensure only matching products are recorded
- Applies TVA markup if configured for that site
- Saves the result and timestamps it, then fires an alert if the price has changed
The entire scan across all your target sites typically completes in under 30 seconds.
👤 User Management
TCM supports multiple independent users managed by an admin:
- Users request access via the Sign In page — admin approves or rejects
- Each user has a fully private product list and target site configuration
- Admin can manage all users, view usage, and control access from the admin panel
- Users can pause individual products to temporarily exclude them from auto-scans
